River Valley District

Master Gardeners

The River Valley Extension District has an active Extension Master Gardener Program.  These trained volunteers conduct a variety of educational programs and activities throughout the River Valley District and all throughout the year.  In addition to booths at festivals and Farmer's Markets, the Extension Flower & Vegetable Trials, and the Master Gardener Spring Field Day, these volunteers regularly answer lawn and garden questions in their local community.

Extension Master Gardeners must go through a 40-hour training program to become a Master Gardener.  They must then volunteer at least 20 hours annually to the River Valley Extension District. Contact Kelsey Hatesohl for more information on becoming a Master Gardener.
